Why Use It

Some highly polished surfaces that were polished either with a sealer or a mechanical polishing system, are likely to require regular buffing and burnishing to reduce porosity and maintain the high gloss. The new 17” Tan Floor Pad is the ideal floor polishing pad for such projects. It really improves the sheen level and it does not create imperfections while doing it. The new 17” Tan Floor Pad can be used with any standard 17 inch floor buffer. The higher the speed of the floor buffer, the better the results achieved. Where To Use It For The Best Results

The new 17” Tan Floor Pad can be successfully used to burnish and polish sealed marmoleum floors, sealed lino floors, sealed vinyl floors, unsealed ceramic tiles, sealed or unsealed natural stone surfaces, sealed wood floors, laminate floors, polished concrete floors and all types of painted warehouse floors. The product will fit any 17 inch floor buffer. Higher speed floor burnishers are fitted with a special locking in system to keep the pads in a fixed position while spinning at 400-1200 RPM. Use the new 17” Tan Floor Pad for all kinds of indoor and outdoor floor polishing projects. 

How To Use It

First of all, assess the condition of the floor and make sure that the floor is suitable for polishing. To be able to use a floor burnisher and the 17” Tan Floor Pad, you need to make sure that the floor is flat, not uneven, it has a sealer on it and the surface is spotless. Any residue that gets caught under the floor pad when it spins at high speed, it will damage the polished surface. So before using the new 17” Tan Floor Pad, the floor should be washed and vacuumed well a few times to make sure that there is no residue or dust particles, sand, food or other types of dirt. 

The results should be visible after a quick buffing operation. If a maintainer has to be applied, make sure that the surface is fully dried out before the high speed burnisher goes over it. Low speed burnishers can be used for wet burnishing by spraying the surface with a repair maintainer and then going over it with the new 17” Tan Floor Pad to mask scratches and imperfections. 

Recommendations

Do not use the new 17” Tan Floor Pad for stripping operations. This is a soft floor pad with no scrubbing capabilities. Do not use dirty pads or wet pads to burnish newly polished floors. Higher the speed of the burnisher, higher the gloss achieved. Our tan floor pads are only available in 17 inch right now but we can cut it in different sizes as well.
