Cleanfast Floor Polish – How to use

Our floor polish has to be applied on dry surfaces only. Please remove all other existing floor polishes from the floor before resealing the floor with Cleanfast Floor Polish. Apply 3 thin coats of floor polish with the help of a flat mopping system or any type of floor polish applicator. Apply one thin coat of floor polish initially and allow at least 30 minutes to dry. The drying time can vary from floor to floor and day to day. The second coat will make the floor look even better and it should dry even faster. The third coat will make the floor look like a “mirror”. Commercial floors will require burnishing (buffing) about 8 hours after the last application.

A floor polish is not a floor repair kit. It will not repair cracks, scratches or any other damages. A floor polish will only make your floor look shiny and it will waterproof the floor. It will create a barrier between traffic and the floor.

Cleanfast Floor Polish – Commercial

Cleanfast Floor Polish was designed to resist any type of traffic for a very long period of time. Most types of commercial floors will need to be polished to prevent water damage and wear. Some floor polishes contain 10% solid while other types of floor polishes contain 20%. Cleanfast Floor Polish contains 25% solid. Higher the level of polymers, higher the resistance. Cleanfast Floor Polish is highly recommended for polishing and sealing school floors, pub floors, restaurant floors, hotel floors, etc. Its anti-slip quality makes it even more suitable for the commercial floors.

Cleanfast Floor Polish – Wood Polishing

Most universal floor polishes are not suitable for wood. Cleanfast Floor Polish was designed to make wood look beautiful and natural. Cleanfast Floor Polish can be applied over damaged floor finish or over newly sanded floor surfaces. If the floor is not in the best shape, up to 5 coats of floor polish will be required to mask the imperfections. If the floor is new or newly sanded, 3 coats of floor polish will do the job. The floor surface will look like glass and it will last for many years. Cleanfast Floor Polish can be used to polish wood furniture as well. It will look just like any normal clear varnish and it will last as long as water based floor varnish.

Cleanfast Floor Polish – Water based

Cleanfast Floor Polish is water based floor polish. The fact that it is water based, doesn't mean that the floor polish will just wash away or it is not as tough as the oil based floor polish. Cleanfast Floor Polish is as tough as the oils one if not better. Being water based, means that its drying periods are much faster and it is not toxic at all. Water based floor polishes can be removed easier with the help of floor strippers.

Cleanfast Floor Polish – Burnishing

Most types of floor polishes, including Cleanfast Floor Polish, will require burnishing to last and look beautiful for as long as possible. When polishing a floor, up to 5 coats of polish will be applied. Those coats of floor polish will provide good protection individually but by burning the floor with a high speed floor buffer (380 to 1200 rpm) all these coats will heat up and become one compact coat of floor polish. It will wear slower and it will look better. The floor polish will scratch from all the traffic on a daily base nut by buffing with a red or tan floor pad, all the small imperfections will be evened up. Domestic floors don't require buffing unless there is more than usual traffic on the floor.

Cleanfast Floor Polish – Maintenance

Regular maintenance is the most important thing for a newly polished floor. Cleanfast Floor Polish will build a nice thick coat over your existing floor but this coat needs to be washed with neutral floor cleaners and it needs regular buffing to get rid of markings and imperfections. Acidic floor cleaners and bleach based cleaning products are the worst enemy of any polished floor. No heavy floor scrubbers and hard brushes should be used on the floor. The floor doesn’t need to be buffed daily but it needs to be washed daily to prevent dirt build ups. Buff the floor with clean floor pads only after the floor was hovered or mopped. A small sand particle under the floor pad can damage the floor.

Cleanfast Floor Polish is not your classic universal floor polish. This commercial floor polish will enhance the look of your floors and it will last at least double than other floor polishes. Our company is happy to show you how to use it correctly and where to use it. We can even train your staff about how to achieve spectacular results without months of training.
