5. Application is a breeze

With a roller or lambswool applicator, simply spread the Faber HidroFab AR onto the surface you're treating. Apply a generous amount, and distribute it in a uniform layer covering the entire floor. Work in one direction. All that's left is to wait for it to dry, which will take just 1-2 hours. There are those situations where a second coat will be needed, like when you’re working on really absorbent or textured floors. In this case, wait for 2-3 hours for the initial layer to cure before you add the second coat. In addition, it’s recommended that you work in a direction that is perpendicular to the first.

With regards to build up, there are two situations. First, when you notice build-up forming as you apply the product, you can redistribute it immediately around the affected area. That will help with ensuring you get an even application. However, if you notice build-ups on a section after you've already treated it and passed on to another section, leave it be for the moment. Let that layer cure, and you can create a more even finish as you follow through later with the polishing. The build-up will easily be removed by using a mechanical polisher to increase the shine of the surface. The floor will be ready to handle foot traffic after 4-6 hours from application.

DOs And DON'Ts Of The Faber HidroFab AR

• DO use a water repellent when treating medium-high absorbency floors. This will enable there to be a proper bond between the product and the surface.

• DO perform a preliminary test on an unexposed area when you’re not sure if the product is suitable for your particular type of flooring.

• DON'T apply the Faber HidroFab AR on surfaces that are wet or damp.
