Faber SOL 170 | Solvent Based Water Repellent & Impregnator - How to use it
The surface has to be deep cleaned with one of Faber`s heavy duty alkaline floor cleaners to remove old residue, organic growth, algae, grease, food residue and other types of dirt. Allow time to dry before applying the sealer. When the surface looks 100% dry, you need to prepare for impregnating the stone. The estimated coverage area is somewhere between 20 to 30 sq meters but it can be much higher or much lighter if the surface treated is highly absorbent or has no absorbance at all. Apply enough impregnator until the stone looks wet but not soaked. Don`t worry about the wet look, it will dry up matt when it dries in full. If you manage to miss some areas, no need to worry. You can touch up later. Make sure to remove excess sealer from the stone and do not walk on the surface while the area is drying.
If you are looking for a wet look or a very glossy natural stone sealer, do not buy the new Faber SOL 170 | Solvent Based Water Repellent & Impregnator. This product will not enhance or create any level of sheen on your floors. Work in well ventilated areas or use an air blower to speed up the drying process. This product is suitable for DIY use as well.
