Faber Wet Look Eco - Where to use

A professional water based deep penetrating sealer that will not glaze the surface and will not create an artificial look. Faber Wet Look Eco is a colour enhancer so any surface treated with it will slightly darken up. The product is compatible with pretty much all natural stone surfaces with medium to high absorption, terracotta floors, terrazzo and also artificial stones with medium absorption. The surface sealed with Faber Wet Look Eco will have a matt wet look finish and will be fully sealed against humidity, traffic, spillages, UV light, etc. Faber Wet Look Eco is an innovative sealer that has replaced some of the solvent based colour enhancers that were doing pretty much the same job as Faber Wet Look Eco but, releasing fumes in the process and were not as easy to use. This product is 100% eco friendly, safe, natural looking and it does not cause pollution while being manufactured.

Faber Wet Look Eco - How to use

The new Faber Wet Look Eco is a deep penetrating sealer so the surface that you plan to seal has to be sealant free and not highly polished. For the sealer to dry, it has to be able to penetrate and dry inside the stone. Any pre-existing sealers will prevent it from penetrating fully. If you are 100% sure that the surface is sealant free, you can prepare for polishing your floors.

The easiest way of applying a water based impregnator is with a flat mopping system and a short hair microfiber flat mop head. Pour some sealer on the floor and put the microfiber mop head on it, allow it to absorb it and now start applying the sealer the same way as you wash the floor. The floor has to look evenly wet but not soaked. One coat is more than enough. Do not walk on the surface while drying and make sure to open all windows so the sealer will dry fast. About 2 hours later the surface will be fully dry and ready for use. You will notice that the stone looks a bit darker and the floor looks like it was just washed even if it is fully dry. 

It is always recommended to do a sample test somewhere in a corner to make sure that the final results are satisfactory. If you are not happy with the way the surface looks after it is treated, you can fully remove the sealer with Faber DEC21 or Faber Cottosolv.
