Faber Scratch Off Kit | Why Use It

Highly polished porcelain floors and glazed ceramic floors are likely to scratch sooner or later. The higher the traffic on the floor, the higher the risk of minor or major scratches. Up to a few years ago it used to be nearly impossible to remove scratches from highly polished surfaces like porcelain or glazed ceramic. But then Faber has invented the new Faber Scratch Off Kit and things have changed dramatically. Removing light superficial scratches or even deep scratches can be done without the need to use advanced technology or complex cleaning systems. All that is needed is the new Faber Scratch Off Kit and hand polisher. It works as well on light and dark types of floors.

Faber Scratch Off Kit | What Is Included

The kit is sold in a professional looking plastic box that contains everything that is needed to remove scratches and repair dull patches:

1. One 500 ML bottle of Faber Scratch Off Cleaner |. This is a very heavy duty cleaner that removes impregnated dirt and leaves the surface ready for the next steps in the scratch removing process

2. One 250 ML Faber Scratch Off Light | A polishing cream for all kinds of light or bright coloured tiles

3. One 250 ML Faber Scratch Off Dark | A polishing cream for all kinds of dark coloured porcelain and ceramic tiles

4. Two Faber Fab K Pads | A professional polishing pad suitable for applying the polishing creams to the surfaces

5. One White Pad | This pad can be used for preliminary cleaning or as the final step after the whole process of polishing is completed

Faber Scratch Off Kit | How To Use It

Identify the affected area and prepare for cleaning. Apply some of the Faber Scratch Off Remover to the area and scrub it well until most of the dirt that has deposited inside the scratch is fully removed. Use the white pad provided to apply the product. Allow direct contact for 10-15 minutes to ensure full removal of all the residue. The cream is active enough to remove most types of new and old impregnated dirt. Assess the surface colour and select the most appropriate polishing cream for your particular type of floor. Inside the box there are two types of polishing creams, one for the light types of tiles and another one for the dark types of tiles. 

Step 1 | Apply the Faber Scratch Off Remover to the affected area. Use the white pad that came with the kit. Allow it to fully react with the surface for about 10-15 minutes then scrub it nicely until all the dirt is removed. 

Step 2 | Select the most appropriate polishing cream and apply it to the affected area making sure that all the scratches are filled up and there is enough product applied to cover the whole surface. Do not over apply the product

Step 3 | You will need a low speed hand polisher to use in conjunction with the Faber K Pads. Start buffing in the polishing cream until the cream is fully absorbed by the surface and the scratches are filled. Rinse off any excess residue and inspect the surface. If more cream is required, go over one more time. 

Faber Scratch Off Kit | Recommendations

Do not apply black polishing cream on white porcelain tiles or white polishing cream on dark porcelain tiles. The product is not compatible with any natural stone tiles or very matt tiles. The amazing Faber Scratch Off Kit is only compatible with highly polished porcelain floors and glazed ceramic tiles. Do not mix up the product with any other type of polishing cream from other brands and do not dilute any of the products. Do not forget to use a hand polisher to apply the product to the affected area. Read the user manual before proceeding with the polishing project.
