Faber GL 80 Epoxy (A+B) Marble Crack Filler | Why Use It

A crack on a marble, travertine, quartz or most types of agglomerates is not the end of the world. All natural stone surfaces are exposed to a number of elements that can put pressure on the surface and over a prolonged period of time, it could crack. High traffic, shocks, slab movements, fast changes in temperature, etc. These can expose the marble or the natural stone surface to enough pressure to make it crack. Those small to medium size cracks can easily be filled up with the new Faber GL 80 Epoxy (A+B) Marble Crack Filler. A professional quality epoxy based marble filler compatible with most natural stone surfaces and most agglomerates. There is no need to use expensive equipment and there is also no need to be a master in marble care services. Anyone with a bit of common sense can use the new Faber GL 80 Epoxy (A+B) Marble Crack Filler successfully.

Faber GL 80 Epoxy (A+B) Marble Crack Filler | Where To Use It

The new Faber GL 80 Epoxy (A+B) Marble Crack Filler was designed to fill up all types of marble surfaces but it can also be used to fill up slate surfaces, limestone, travertine, quartz, granite, lava stone, resin-quartz agglomerate, resin-marble agglomerate and concrete-marble agglomerates. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use. The product will require up to 15 hours drying time and up to 15 days curing time. When dry, it looks 100% clear, natural and it blends in with the surface. The surface can be grinded or polished as usual. It can be successfully used to repair cracks on marble floors, marble stairs, all types of natural stone walls and worktops, statues, etc. The product is relatively fume free and its hardener contains no solvent.

Faber GL 80 Epoxy (A+B) Marble Crack Filler | How To Use It

The crack should be deep cleaned with one of Faber`s heavy duty natural stone cleaners and it should be fully dry before the crack filler is applied to the surface. The areas should be isolated with masking tape to make sure that the crack filler is only applied to the crack itself and not to the whole surface. The new Faber GL 80 Epoxy (A+B) Marble Crack Filler is sold in two bottles, one contains the crack filler itself while the other one contains the hardener. Before proceeding to fill up the cracks, the hardener has to be mixed up with the crack filler. If you are not likely to use the whole bottle at once, then only mix whatever amount is enough for the job. The mixture rate is 100G crack filler and 44G hardener. Allow it to bond in for 10-20 minutes before applying it to the area.

Using a brush or a spatula, apply enough product to fully fill up the crack while slightly overfilling it. After the initial application, do nothing for about 15 hours until the product has fully dried and is fully cured. From this point on the user can restore the marble as usual and apply all the standard treatments.
