Prochem Fibre & Fabric Rinse Review
When cleaning your carpet, you want to get rid of the dirt, grime and stains without damaging the material. Aspects like colour bleeding, and weakening of the fibres will ruin your investment. On the other hand, the heavy soiling and stubborn stains require tough-cleaning agents that will be able to dissolve them and get them out of the carpet, and may leave its structure vulnerable to damage. How will you protect your carpet and still get it looking clean and fresh? Turn to the Prochem Fibre & Fabric Rinse.
Benefits Of The Prochem Fibre & Fabric Rinse
1. Superior protection
The Prochem Fibre & Fabric Rinse is designed to keep your carpet's fibres strong and prevent colour bleeding, yellowing or browning. You carry out thorough cleaning, getting rid of the grime that has piled up over time and stains that have clung onto the material, and thereafter use the product to rinse and treat the carpet to offer it long lasting protection and care. A mildly acidic detergent, the Prochem Fibre & Fabric Rinse conditions and softens the fibres and fabrics, restoring the correct pH levels by neutralising the alkaline cleaners and any pre-spotters that had been applied. It stabilises the colour of the carpets and fabrics, and enhances their longevity.
The Prochem Fibre & Fabric Rinse is formulated to condition both natural and synthetic fibres. You can use it on your oriental rugs, all through to cotton and natural fibre upholstery fabrics. It's also a WOOLSAFE approved product, and can thus be used on your wool carpeting and rugs without any risk. It's always recommended that you carry out a pre-test on new material, be it carpets or fabrics, where you’re not sure about its compatibility with the product. In addition, don’t use it on water sensitive fabrics.
3. Odour neutraliser
In the course of the cleaning, you also want to deal with the pungent smells that come from the decaying organic matter in the carpet. The Prochem Fibre & Fabric Rinse is up to the task. It neutralises the smell, all through to urine contamination, and leaves behind a fresh orange peel fragrance.
How To Use The Prochem Fibre & Fabric Rinse
It comes concentrated, and needs to be diluted before use. If you're using a portable extractor, use a 1:100 to 1:50 ratio (such as mixing 10-20 ml of product with 1L of warm water). If it’s for spray treatment, use a 1:50 to 1:20 ratio where 20-50 ml of Prochem Fibre & Fabric Rinse is used for every litre of water. With truck-mounted units, dilute 1L of product with 4L of water when making the metering concentrate.
Apply the solution for both cleaning and rinsing after the normal pre-spraying or cleaning procedure using an extraction machine. You can also use a pressure sprayer to apply the Prochem Fibre & Fabric Rinse solution onto the carpet. In case you're using a truck-mounted unit, have the flow meter set at 2 gallons per hour. When it comes to upholstery fabric, rinse-extract or spray it with the diluted solution, then blot using a towel that's clean white.
Note that the Prochem Fibre & Fabric Rinse should not be mixed with any other cleaning agents, except the Prochem deodorisers that expressively state so on their product label.
