It is essential to properly prepare the surface for waxing. While the new Faber Finishing Wax | Stain Proof Finish is compatible with pretty much all water based sealers and it can be used as an overcoat, applying it directly on the stone surface is recommended. The surface has to be degreased and deep cleaned a few hours prior to the polishing process. You can use a cloth, a brush or some kind of applicator. Apply the product abundantly to make sure that all the pores are filled and then remove the excess. The surface will slightly change color to a more “wet look” finish. You can apply a number of coats but 1-2 coats should be more than enough.

While the product is safe and the chances of skin damage are close to 0, you should still avoid direct contact with your skin. Wear a pair of good quality gloves and work in a well ventilated area. Do not mix up the product with any other waxes or floor polishes from Faber or other brands. Wash all your tools well after you are done with the polishing.
