Faber 30 Alkaline Floor Cleaner

Faber 30 Alkaline Floor Cleaner Review

The effectiveness of a cleaning agent depends on its formulation and interaction with dirt and surfaces, utilizing both chemical and mechanical actions. For alkaline cleaners, processes like saponification convert fats and oils into water-soluble fatty acids and glycerol, facilitating their removal. Detergent action displaces soil through surfactants, while emulsification suspends oils in small globules, which can also be rinsed away. Additionally, solubilization allows some soiling to dissolve directly in the solution, collectively aiding in breaking down and eliminating buildup on surfaces.

Which product do you go for? No doubt you want one that assures you of its quality, and that has been trusted by consumers around the world. You also want one that will not put your installations at risk. Your goal is to get rid of the dirt and grime, not watch the surfaces get corroded in the process. Faber, the renowned surface care company with over 3 decades of operations, has provided the Faber 30, designed to provide an all-round clean.

Benefits Of The Faber 30 Alkaline Floor Cleaner

  • Deep clean

The alkaline-based Faber 30 is tough on the dirt, getting rid of those stubborn spots and ingrained soiling that is on the surfaces. Oils and fat deposits are converted into water-soluble compounds- making them easy to remove, and through its solvent action it breaks up the grease residue, and thereafter through emulsification suspends the particles, allowing them to be rinsed off the surface. It penetrates the material and displaces the gunk that is building up, and can even be used to remove rubber marks and tyre residue. Routine cleaning, working on those highly trafficked areas- be it foot traffic or vehicles like in car parks, cleaning floor coverings like epoxy and PVC- the Faber 30 has got you covered.

  • Versatile formulation

The Faber 30 is versatile for both indoor and outdoor use, effective on various surfaces including marble, limestone, ceramics, slate, travertine, concrete, and porcelain stoneware. Choosing the right abrasive discs and brushes depends on the type of dirt and surface; use a white pad for polished surfaces like marble and glazed materials, and a light blue or green pad for unpolished and rough surfaces like concrete and terracotta.

  • Value for your money

The Faber 30 offers versatile usage with a coverage rate of 10-15 m² per liter and can be used diluted or undiluted based on surface absorption and soiling. For tough residues like resin or wax, it can be diluted to 50%, while absorbent surfaces like concrete can use it undiluted. For sensitive items, a dilution of 1 part Faber 30 to 2-4 parts water is recommended, and a 10% dilution is suitable for light degreasing. This flexibility minimizes waste and helps reduce cleaning and maintenance costs.

Dilute the product as needed and apply it evenly using brushes, single disc machines, cloths, or mops, depending on your convenience and the area size. Allow it to sit for 10-15 minutes to emulsify grease and dissolve dirt, using the brush or machine intermittently. For absorbent surfaces, additional solution may be necessary to keep the area consistently covered during treatment.

After the waiting time is over, remove the emulsion that’s on the surface. This is achieved by pouring clean water onto it, distributing it with the brush/single-disc machine, then using a liquid vacuum cleaner to extract the contents. Cloths and absorbent paper towels too can be used for the sections with smaller surface area. Thereafter, rinse the region with clean water, and let it dry. It will be ready to use immediately. In case the process needs to be repeated for the really stubborn grime, first allow the preceding treatment and rinsing to dry off.
