Surface Care With The Faber Tile Cleaner 1L
From homes to office spaces, you want to have a healthy, vibrant ambience. An environment which relaxes you, not one covered in oil and stubborn grime residues that frustrate you the moment you walk through the front doors. Clean surfaces that complement your décor, not deteriorated interiors that make a mockery of the time and resources that you invested when looking for the ideal tile installations for the premises. Moreover, you got the tiles installed to serve you for the long term, not to watch them get prematurely deteriorated and force you to make expensive repairs. The beauty and longevity of your tile installations are tied to how well they are taken care of. This includes regular cleaning and maintenance. The goal is to set up a system that effectively deals with the dirt and grime, while still preserving the structural integrity of the installation. That dirt that’s deeply embedded in your tiles doesn’t have to be a permanent feature. The surface patina that is ruining the appeal of your walls and floors can be got rid of. All without putting your tiles at risk. How? Through the tough action of the Faber Tile Cleaner.
The slightly-acidic detergent has the potency needed to break down the dirt and old residue that stubbornly adheres to the surface. It dissolves the contents, and these are then simply cleared of the surface and the area rinsed. The chemical action of the Faber Tile Cleaner 1L does the heavy lifting for you, dissolving the dirt buildups with ease and allowing you to bring back the lost charm and appeal to the surface. You can also use it to remove surface patina, such as that which is formed when mistakes are made during cleaning jobs, or during the application of grout and seals.
Note that the Faber Tile Cleaner 1L should not be used on surfaces that are wet. First allow it to dry before washing it with this formulation. Also, remember to protect adjacent surfaces when applying the product – particularly the surfaces that are not being treated with the formulation.
You can use the Faber Tile Cleaner 1L on a wide range of surfaces, both indoors and outdoors. These range from natural and polished porcelain tiles, plastic laminates, ceramic tiles and clinker, slate and molten basalt, all through to granite and quartzite structures. The water-based detergent will deliver the thorough cleaning action without putting the underlying installation at risk. If the formulation has been not been indicated to be particularly suitable for the kind of material that you’re working on, it is recommended that you carry out a spot test on a hidden section of the surface to assess the impact of the product on it.

Renowned brand
Faber needs no introduction when it comes to surface care. It’s a strong brand that has been around since the last century. Formed in Italy in 1986, the company has spread its wings, taking over markets across Europe, the UAE and Middle East regions, right across to the far-flung nations in Asia. Heavy investments in its R&D laboratories have seen the company deliver a wide range of formulations that tackle the different aspects of surface care – in fact having over 250 different products to meet unique client needs. This includes protective treatments and finishes that serve to provide resistance against the barrage of abuse that surfaces receive on a daily basis, stain removers that are formulated to eliminate water based stains like tea, soft drinks and wine to oil-based stains that include cooking oil, engine oil and bituminous residues, cleaners like the Faber Tile Cleaner which we’re analyzing here, as well as epoxy systems that are used for repairing chips, cracks and other kinds of surface damage, and even filling grout widths. Professional installers, cleaning contractors, homeowners simply looking for day-to-day surface care products – they all rely on formulations from Faber. The ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certifications that the company has achieved are a testament to the level of quality processes that are used when developing the products.

Comes ready to use
With this formulation, you get to quickly handle the cleaning task and remove those stubborn residues that are on the target area. You will not need to mix it with other chemicals. Only dilution is required – and this will depend on how stubborn the dirt is that you want to get rid of. For this, pour some of the product into clean water, with a 1:2 or 1:3 ratio (1 part Faber Tile Cleaner, mixed with 2 or 3 parts of water). However, in case you’re dealing with extremely stubborn grime, or you’re using the cleaner to remove surface patina, then do not dilute it.
For the application tools, you can use the conventional equipment to carry out the cleaning. These are the likes of cloths and mops, or even a single disc machine. This will come down to your personal preference, as well as factors such as the size of the area that you’re working on. Work the solution onto the surface, then give it 10 to 20 minutes to further dissolve the grime, after which you can proceed to remove the contents from the floor and rinse the surface. After the task is done, you can clean the tools with water.
Here are some extra tips to get more from the Faber Tile Cleaner:
-
Before you use the product on the surface, first dust or vacuum it. This clears the loose debris and coarse dirt, allowing the formulation to focus on the actual stubborn residue that is stuck to the surface.
-
When it comes to new tile installations, or where fresh grout has been applied, first allow the adhesives and grout used to dry and cure before proceeding to use the Faber Tile Cleaner.
-
Temperatures matter. In this case, the formulations should not be applied to overly heated surfaces. The optimal temperature range of the surface being treated should be between 5 and 40°C.
