Carver Deck Protect / Water Based Deck Sealer – Where to use
Carver manufactures some of the most beautiful and long lasting water based deck protectors. The product is non glazing and it will not be affected by UV light, standard decking chemicals or high humidity. Carver Deck Protect / Water Based Deck Sealer will fully penetrate the wood and it will maintain the fibre of the wood 100% natural. It will provide a great barrier against humidity, moss growth, damp & UV light. Carver Deck Protect / Water Based Deck Sealer can be used to seal newly installed decks or sealant free old decks. A water based deck impregnator will not crack and it will not create an artificial coating on the decking.
Carver Deck Protect / Water Based Deck Sealer – How to use
It is essential that you apply the new Carver Deck Protect / Water Based Deck Sealer on unsealed, clean & dry surfaces. Vacuum the decking well, make sure that there is no dust or any type of residue, then apply one coat of impregnator. Allow time to dry and if you need a stronger tone of colour, apply one more coat. Old decking has to be sanded, deep cleaned and has to be spotless before sealing it. Any dull patch or imperfection will be visible under the impregnator. Old unsealed decks can be deep cleaned with Carver Pulidek. This highly effective cleaner will remove grey age marks, moss, residue build ups. Allow time to dry and then apply the deck impregnator.
