The new Prochem Liquid Woolsafe 5L can be used to deep clean and maintain all types of wool carpets, wool rugs, wool sofas, wool upholstery and other types of wool surfaces. The same product can also be used to deep clean normal carpets and non wool fibres. The new Prochem Liquid Woolsafe 5L is particularly recommended for cleaning antique rugs and classic looking mats. It can be used in conjunction with any commercial portable carpet cleaning machine, any residential carpet cleaning machine and any professional truck mount system. It reacts fast and it emulsifies dirt on direct contact. To be diluted in warm water before use to increase its cleaning power.
How To Use It
Start by assessing the condition of the wool surface and based on that, decide the dilution rate. The recommended dilution rate is 1 to 100 but the actual dilution rate can be reduced or increased according to the project requirements. While the product has enough cleaning power to break down most superficial stains and dirt deposits, it can also be used in conjunction with Prochem Prespray Gold when dealing with deep stains and heavy duty dirt. The product is very low foam and it does not require a defoamer.
- Vacuum the surface well to be able to see the condition of the carpet, rug or fibre before proceeding to the actual cleaning.
- Dilute the pre-spray in warm water and apply it all over the surface with a pressure pump or a spray bottle. Allow it to activate for about 5-10 minutes, lightly scrub the stained areas and then proceed to the normal cleaning.
- Dilute the new Prochem Liquid Woolsafe 5L in warm water and pre-spray the entire surface nicely. A direct contact of around 5 minutes is highly recommended. Now start spraying and extracting the waste at the same time until the entire surface is covered.
- Now stop spraying and extract only until there is no more liquid coming through the hoses. Whatever liquid is still inside the fibre will evaporate within a few hours if the area is well ventilated.
Recommendations
The new Prochem Liquid Woolsafe 5L can be used to maintain other types of carpeted surfaces but this product is not that active and is not suitable for intense carpet cleaning projects. Do not mix up the product with any other wool safe cleaning products to avoid unwanted reactions. Do not mix up the product with boiling water to avoid shrinking the wool surfaces.
