Faber Top Care – Worktop Maintainer

Natural stone walls bring a characteristic charm to the interior space. First there is the uniqueness. Due to the natural processes of formation, you won’t find any two slabs of marble or granite being exactly alike. In fact, each tile will be different from its adjacent one. This enables you to have a one-of-a-kind bathroom or kitchen, with colourations and design patterns that blend with your personality and meet your taste. What’s more, they are always in style, being a timeless addition to the interior decor. The flexibility of having them incorporated into any desired design, from getting a T-shape for kitchen worktop to round vanity in closets, you can have the natural stone installations cut to your specific desires. Their durability is also quite the feat, being able to withstand spilled wine, hot cups of coffee, and the occasional sliding knife that hits the kitchen worktop or heavy pot that gets dropped, – they can take on the accidents and mishaps that occur in the busy kitchen. This does not mean that they should be neglected. Proper maintenance is needed to continue enjoying your installation, preserving its beauty and functionality. That’s where products like the Stone Top Care come in.

This is a popular Faber product, the company renowned for surface care. Protects And Accentuates

White residue, especially on the natural stone kitchen backsplashes and bathroom walls, ruin their appearance. The main culprit here is limescale deposits. The chalky mineral is left behind when the surfaces have been exposed to hard water. Getting rid of them is a tall order. Preventing it from happening in the first place will enable you to avoid plenty of headache. That’s where the Stone Top Care comes in.

The cream prevents those pesky hard water stains from forming on your kitchen and bathroom surfaces. One of the hardest and most frustrating to remove are limescale stains, which typically form as white marks that take away the appeal of the installation. With the Stone Top Care, you won’t have to worry about that. It forms a layer of protection, and simultaneously enhances the water repellence of the surface. What’s more, the product enhances the shine level of the surface, bringing an elegant look and feel to the kitchen and bathroom interior. It can also be used on worktops and tables where this protection is needed.

Easy On Your Hands And On Your Pocket

Surface maintenance is also easier. First, the rate of stains forming is drastically reduced. Secondly, in case a stain does actually form, removing it will be a breeze with the Faber Repair Kit. The product itself is versatile, and can be applied to multiple indoor surfaces including porcelain stoneware, glazed ceramics, quartz-based plus silicon-resin agglomerates, granite and clinker, porphyry and natural stone installations that are not sensitive to acids.

You get all this without draining your wallet. The Stone Top Care comes in affordable 1L bottles, with each box of packaging containing 12 of the bottles. This enables you to get the amount of product needed for your surface care needs. What’s more with each litre covering 15/20 m2 of surface, you get optimal and effective usage of every unit purchased.

How To Use Stone Top Care

The area to be treated should first be cleaned thoroughly. Any dust or dirt will affect the effectiveness of the product. After washing the surface, allow it to dry, then proceed with these steps:

  1. Using a cloth or sponge, apply the Stone Top Care onto the surface in an even, abundant coat. No dilution is needed. Ensure the entire area has been covered.
  2. Allow around 5 minutes for evaporation of the solvent part of the formulation.
  3. Polish the surface, using a cloth, sponge or white pad. Do this with circular motions over the surface until it dries completely.
  4. Allow at least 1 hour waiting time for the product to cure.
  5. After an extra hour or two, check the results in order to ensure that you have achieved an even coverage across the surface. By the time it’s getting to this point, the surface will be ready to use.

Note that any adjacent areas that are not to be treated with the product should be protected, such as by covering them.

DOs And DON’Ts Of The Stone Top Care

  • DO test the compatibility of the product with the particular surface you intend to treat- especially if you’re not sure about it. The test can be carried out on an inconspicuous section of the surface.
  • DON”T apply the product onto surfaces that are wet or overly heated. Their temperature should be between 5 – 40°C.
  • DO wait for the adhesive and grout in newly laid or grouted surfaces to first completely cure before treating the area with the Stone Top Care.
  • DON’T mix it with other chemicals.
