Some products are for daily maintenance while others are for heavy duty wood floor cleaning projects. The new Bona Cleaner is a product for heavy duty projects. It can be used for restoring badly impregnated hardwood floors in commercial units with high to very high traffic. The new Bona Cleaner is very concentrated, slightly alkaline and has amazing degreasing qualities. It will emulsify dirt on impact and it will help exfoliate deeply impregnated dirt from oiled and varnished wood surfaces. The product is highly appreciated by the professional wood floor cleaning trade and by those looking for a top quality wood floor cleaner to restore very dirty floors. It does not affect the floor finish and it does not negatively affect the wood structure. Not suitable for daily cleaning and maintenance.
Bona Cleaner 5L | Where To Use
The new Bona Cleaner is a professional wood floor cleaning detergent suitable for all kinds of residential and commercial wood floor cleaning and wood floor restoration projects. The product was designed for intense heavy duty wood floor cleaning projects and to be used in conjunction with a professional scrubber drier when dealing with large commercial floor areas. The new Bona Cleaner is suitable for indoor wood floor cleaning and outdoor decking cleaning projects. It can be successfully used to remove thick layers of impregnated dirt, residue, food stains, oils, grease and other types of dirt from wood floors that were sealed with a water based floor lacquer, a solvent based floor lacquer or some type of floor oil. The new Bona Cleaner will not affect the sealer of the floor and it will not strip off pre-existing finishes.
Bona Cleaner 5L | How To Use
Start by diluting the product. The recommended dilution rate is 1 to 100 but the actual dilution rate can be increased or decreased based on the condition of the wood floor. The product cannot be used without being diluted. Very badly affected hardwood floors or semi solid wood floors might require a pre-spray to soften up the dirt.

Dilute the product in a bucket. Use hot water to maximize the cleaning products efficiency. The 1 to 100 dilution rate should apply to floors in good | medium condition. Very dirty floors will require a lower dilution rate of 1 to 50.

Apply the product to the floor making sure to wet the wood floor but not to over soak the floor. Allow direct contact for a few minutes to make sure that the product gets a chance to emulsify and exfoliate the dirt.

Lightly scrub the floor with a medium soft scrubbing pad or a soft scrubbing brush and extract the waste. Use a wet vac to extract the waste.

Use a flat mopping system for the final touch to make sure that all the waste is extracted and all the markings and streaks created during the process of scrubbing were removed in full.

Assess the condition of the floor and if the results are not 100% satisfactory, go over one more time.

Do not use excessive water when cleaning wood floors and do not forget to extract any excess water from the surface. Do not use the product without the recommended dilution rate. Do not use the new Bona Cleaner for daily wood floor maintenance. Do not mix up a number of wood floor cleaners to avoid creating reactions. Do not use any very aggressive pads to scrub the surface. Do not use the product regularly without hand protection.
