The new Prochem Proseal 5L is very thick, it levels up nicely and it dries streak free. The product is suitable for use on all types of absorbent floors with medium to intense traffic. How To Use It
There are two ways of using the new Prochem Proseal 5L. It can be used as the main sealer or it can be used as an overcoating product. The surface has to be prepared well and the polish has to be applied in an even coating with 1-2 hour breaks between the coats to allow it to dry.
- New Coatings I If the floor was just installed and it requires a high traffic protective coat with a semi gloss finish, then the new Prochem Proseal 5L is the ideal product. The entire surface should be washed with a neutral PH floor cleaner to remove all kinds of residue, grease and dirt. If the surface was sealed before, then the entire surface should be stripped off first, all old sealer fully removed and only then the surface should be sealed with 2-3 coats of floor polish.
- Recoating I If the floor was sealed before but the oil sealer is not that bad but slightly patchy looking or dull looking, the surface can be overcoated with 2 coats of floor polish. The floor should be deep cleaned with a good degreaser, dried up and 2 coats of floor polish applied with a flat mop.
Our Recommendations
The new Prochem Proseal 5L is a semi gloss, satin or silk matt finish. While the floor polish has a great sheen level, it is not extremely glossy. Do not apply the new Prochem Proseal 5L over wet or dirty surfaces. Do not apply less than 2 coats and a maximum of 3 coats is more than enough. To extend the floor durability, the surface should be washed with one of Prochem’s neutral cleaners and maintainers and it should be buffed regularly with a red or white floor pad. Do not dilute the product and do not mix up a number of floor polishes. Do not walk on the wet surface while drying.
