All Karbosan sanding belts are manufactured to the highest possible standard. The 200 MM x 750 MM Sanding Belts are designed for heavy duty wood floor sanding projects but can also be used for removing imperfections and sealants from concrete or natural stone floors. The 200 MM x 750 MM Sanding Belts are compatible with all 200 mm sanding machines.
Karbosan Sanding Belt 200 MM x 750 MM – How to use
Sanding a floor is a step by step process. You need to start with 24 or 40 Sanding Belts and then go up to 60, then 80 & then you are ready for sealing. Grit 60 to 80 are suitable for final sanding before varnishing/sealing.
If your floor has many coats of varnish or if it was painted, you need to start with the 24 grit. If the floor looks ok but a bit tired, you can start with 40 grit. The 24 grit sanding belt will remove all types of imperfections & sealants but it will also scratch the wood. The 40 grit sanding belt will get rid of those scratches. The 60 grit will prepare the surface for the final sanding & the 80 grit will leave the surface smooth and perfect for sealing. This is the process.
