Besides its natural composition, this product is also very durable, very easy to apply, it looks beautiful and it allows the wood to ventilate naturally. It waterproofs and stain proofs the wood surface within a few hours. The ideal wood oil for dining tables, chairs, furniture, worktops and other wood surfaces. It can only be applied to new or newly sanded surfaces or to surfaces that were previously oiled | waxed.
Nordicare Linseed Oil 250 ML | Where To Use It
This product can be used to refresh or maintain all kinds of wooden surfaces that were sealed with a natural floor oil or some kind of hardwax oil. It can also be used on its own, as the main sealer. Suitable for all kinds of indoor wood sealing projects. To be used on dining tables, kitchen worktops, doors, windows, frames, small wood floors, kids toys and other surfaces. It has to be applied in 1-2 coats with about 24 hours break between the coats. Suitable for all kinds of residential use and light commercial use.
Nordicare Linseed Oil 250 ML | How To Use It
- New or Newly Sanded Wood Surfaces | The surface has to be dry, dust free and sealant free. Any pre-existing sealers, visible or invisible, have to be removed in full before oiling the surface. Using a cloth or oiling roller apply a thick coat of oil. The coat has to be evenly wet and not overdone. Allow about 1 hour for the oil to penetrate the wood in full and remove the excess oil. Rub the whole surface with a dry cloth until all excess oil is removed and the surface has a “wet look”. Allow 24 hours to dry. Apply a second coat within 24 hours. More coats can be applied but 2-3 coats is more than enough.
- Pre-Sealed Surfaces | If the surface was already sealed with a floor oil or hardwax oil, then you can use the new Nordicare Linseed Oil 250 ML to refresh it. Deep clean the surface to remove as much dirt and grease as possible. Allow 1-2 hours to dry and then prepare for refreshing. Apply a thin coat of oil all over the surface, allow direct contact for 10-20 minutes, then dry it out with a clean cloth. Always move along with the fiber of the wood. A second coat can be applied after 24 hours but in most cases (unless the surface is in a very bad shape) 1 coat applied every 2nd to 3rd month will provide the full protection.
Oiling or refreshing an oiled surface is not a hard job. The essential thing is to use clean cloths and to make sure that the surface is spotless before applying it. Remember to remove the excess oil before it dries. The surface will absorb whatever it requires to fill up scratches & dull patches and the rest of the oil has to be extracted.

Do not refresh or maintain your oiled surface on a daily basis. Depending on usage, a few times per year is more than enough. Remove stains and water spills as it happens. All cloths used to apply the oil should be soaked in water before being disposed of.
