Tover DPM Primer PU 100 is a fast drying, single component polyurethane primer designed for consolidating and waterproofing absorbent subfloors before wood floor installation. Its solvent free formulation offers 0 g/litre VOC and allows floor laying from just one hour after application. Suitable for concrete and heated subfloors, it can create an effective damp barrier on suitable surfaces with relative humidity up to 5%.

Tover DPM Primer PU 100 | Application & Subfloor Preparation
Before applying Tover DPM Primer PU 100, the subfloor must be absorbent, clean and free from grease. It must not be applied to wet surfaces or surfaces affected by continuous rising damp. Cracks and fissures should also be properly repaired before the primer is applied. The technical data sheet specifically states that the product is not suitable for waterproofing non absorbent surfaces such as ceramic tiles, marble, enamelled surfaces or glass.
When using Tover DPM Primer PU 100 as a consolidating primer, apply one uniform coat using a roller. Very porous or absorbent subfloors may require a second coat. For improved penetration, it can be diluted with a maximum of 5% Diluente P/100, although dilution must not be used with underfloor heating systems. When using the product as a DPM waterproofing treatment, apply two uniform coats with a roller or brush, allowing at least one hour between coats and no more than 24 hours. Do not dilute the product when using it for waterproofing.
Wood flooring should normally be installed within 24 hours of the final coat. Suitable adhesive types include polyurethane, epoxy polyurethane and MS adhesives, subject to the manufacturer’s stated preparation requirements. Water dispersion adhesives and solvent based synthetic adhesives are not suitable
Application should be carried out above 10°C, and the product is intended for professional use. Always follow the product label and consult the relevant safety data sheet before application.
Tover DPM Primer PU 100 is a professional, single component, moisture curing polyurethane primer designed for preparing, consolidating and waterproofing suitable subfloors before the installation of wooden flooring. Its fast drying, solvent free formulation makes it particularly useful where installation time needs to be kept to a minimum. Under suitable conditions, wooden flooring can be installed from just 1 hour after application, with the recommended installation window extending up to 24 hours. The product fully hardens in approximately 24 hours.
Tover DPM Primer PU 100 can be used to strengthen dusty, weak or highly absorbent concrete subfloors. It can also act as a damp proof membrane on suitable absorbent subfloors with relative humidity levels up to 5% when measured using a carbide hygrometer. The primer is suitable for use with underfloor heating systems, provided the subfloor is dry and there is no continuous rising damp. It can also consolidate dry anhydrite and plate subfloors where the humidity is below 0.5%.
The product has a brown liquid appearance and contains 0 g/litre VOC according to the technical data sheet. Typical coverage is approximately 100 to 150 g/m² when used as a surface consolidator and 250 to 400 g/m² when used as a two coat waterproofing treatment. It is supplied in 6 kg and 12 kg containers.
