Tover Fondo Isolante / Solvent Based Wood Floor Primer – Where to use
Tover Fondo Isolante / Solvent Based Wood Floor Primer is a top of the range wood floor primer suitable for priming all types of semi solid and solid wood floors. The primer can be used on any wood surface that is sealant free or newly sanded. The primer will level up the wood and it will create a perfect base for further coatings. Water based floor lacquers and solvent based floor lacquers are compatible with Fondo Isolante.
Tover Fondo Isolante / Solvent Based Wood Floor Primer – How to use
All old wood floors will require sanding before priming. All new wood surfaces will require light buffing before priming. Apply 1 thick coat of solvent floor primer and allow about 1-2 hours to dry. Using a sanding screen, sand the whole floor one more time to remove all the small spikes that have hardened in contact with the primer. Vacuum the floor well and prepare for varnishing. Do not apply more than 1 coat of primer. Do not mix up solvent based primers with water based primers and do not sand the primer too soon because you will remove the primer in full.
Tover Fondo Isolante / Solvent Based Wood Floor Primer – Why use it
A primer before varnishing will level up all small imperfections, it will reduce absorption and it will create a perfect base for the varnish. Less varnish will be required to do the job and the finish wil be smooth like glass.
