Why use it
The epic Junckers Rustic Floor Oil is one of the most popular and most well known floor oils in Ireland. It can be used as a primer and then waxed with a hardwax oil or it can be used as a wood stain and then overcoated with a two pack water based floor lacquer. The product is available in a number of unique colours. The clear option will create a really rich finish that exposes the fiber of the wood.
Where to use
A fine quality floor oil that can be used to seal, protect and enhance all types of raw or newly sanded hardwood floors or it can be used as a recoat floor oil for already oiled floors. Its thick composition will ensure an even glazing of the surface and a quick drying period. The new Junckers Rustic Floor Oil has to be applied in a two coats system over a clean and dry surface. It can be successfully used to seal hardwood floors, semi solid floors, doors, wall and ceiling panels, wood toys, handles, worktops and other types of real wood surfaces.
How to use
If you are dealing with old and damaged real wood surfaces, make sure to have it fully sanded and all pre-existing finishes removed. Only then the surface can be oiled. If you are dealing with new wood surfaces, make sure that the entire surface gets a light sanding with 100 grit sandpaper and only then the new Junckers Rustic Floor Oil can be applied. If you are planning a recoat, then make sure that the surface is degreased and all dirt fully removed before applying a thick coat of the new Junckers Rustic Floor Oil.
- You can apply this spectacular floor oil with a cloth, a floor buffer or some kind of low speed floor buffer that is fitted with an oiling pad.
- Apply a small amount of the floor oil on the floor and then spread it all over the surface. Allow direct contact for about 10-20 minutes and then extract all the excess oil with a clean cloth or a clean oiling pad.
- The second coat can be done within 24 hours. The floor can be overcoated with a hardwax oil from Junckers or a two pack floor lacquer.
Recommendations
Do not use the new Junckers Rustic Floor Oil as a recoat over water based or solvent based lacquers. Do not use single pack water based floor lacquers to seal it. Do not mix up a number of floor oils to avoid unwanted reactions. Do not use the new Junckers Rustic Floor Oil to seal outdoor surfaces. Do not forget to remove all the excess oil from the surface. Do not walk on the surface for at least 12 hours. Work in well ventilated areas.
