Polishing floors aims to achieve a high gloss and sheen through various methods, such as using polishing powders with abrasive grains and low-speed weighted machines, or diamond abrasives attached to floor machines for a more mechanical, high-cost process that yields a natural finish. While some prefer a honed matte finish for wet or high-traffic areas to conceal scuffs, regular maintenance is essential, with Faber Soap recommended for cleaning.
Natural stone floors are durable but can be easily damaged without proper care, as dirt and grime cause wear and stains can lead to deterioration. Using incorrect cleaning products, such as acidic cleaners and abrasive agents, can ruin the stone’s surface. After polishing or honing, use Faber Soap to clean the surface, removing dirt and enhancing sheen. With a neutral pH, Faber Soap is suitable for various materials, including limestone, granite, and concrete.

It provides excellent coverage of 900-1100 m² per liter, helping to manage maintenance costs effectively. Available in 1L (12 bottles per box) and 5L (4 bottles per box) options, it is affordably priced.
How To Use The Faber Soap
This unit comes concentrated, hence you will first need to dilute it before application. 2 to 3 caps of the Faber Soap in 5 litres of water will suffice. Once the solution is ready, two modes of application can be followed:
- Manual
- The Faber Soap solution is prepared in a bucket, and the mop dipped in it.
- Wring the mop and then proceed to clean the surface. This should be done uniformly over each section.
- Allow the surface to dry completely. In case there will be any dusty residue, it can be quickly removed using a clean and dry cloth, preferably microfibre.
- Working with a single-disc machine
Here, the diluted solution of the Faber Soap is prepared directly in the water tank of the single disc machine.
- Clean each area of the targeted surface uniformly, focusing on each bit for 10 to 15 seconds during the washing.
- Note that you should not let the surface dry during this washing stage. (However, in case the product dries before the next step, the area can be brushed with a clean white pad).
- Use a wet vacuum to remove the residues that are on the floor.
After treating your floor with the Faber Soap, the tools used can be cleaned with water.
