Sampling on the actual wood is particularly useful because every timber species can absorb stain differently. Colour can also vary depending on sanding preparation, grain and the natural tone of the wood. Creating several samples therefore gives the customer a much more realistic indication of the finished appearance.
Tover wood stains offer approximately 40 to 50 m² coverage per litre and combine distinctive colouring with convenient drying times. Under suitable conditions, the stain should dry completely within approximately 2 hours and can normally be sealed after approximately 4 hours.
The finished stained surface requires protective overcoating with a suitable two component water based floor lacquer or solvent based floor lacquer. The stain is quick drying and should be fully dry within approximately 2 hours, with the surface ready for sealing after around 4 hours, subject to site conditions.
Once completely dry, the stained floor must be protected with a compatible two pack water based floor lacquer or solvent based floor lacquer.
