Tover Oil4sun Decking Oil - Why use

The old solvent based decking sealers were great but had a number of issues. First of all the wood used to get glazed with a “glossy” sealer that was transforming a beautiful natural decking in a cheap looking piece of wood. Those sealers could easily crack and reacted with the UV light. All these issues are not issues for the new Tover Oil4sun Decking Oil. This product penetrates the wood in full without creating an artificial coat, it cannot crack, is unaffected by the UV light, not affected by cold or extreme heat, it allows the wood to ventilate naturally and the surface can be refreshed every year without having to remove the old coat of oil. Tover Oil4sun Decking Oil - Where to use

The new Tover Oil4sun Decking Oil is only compatible with new unsealed wooden decking or garden furniture, or it can be used to refresh decking and garden furniture that were sealed with it the year before. The new Tover Oil4sun Decking Oil is an outdoor treatment for all kinds of exterior unsealed wood that is exposed to the elements. It can be used to treat decking, benches, swimming pool borders, wooden beams, wood profiles, exterior wood doors, handles, wood statues, etc. A product for any type of outdoor wooden surface. Available in a cool natural finish and also in a teak finish.

Tover Oil4sun Decking Oil - How to use

Just make sure that the wood surface is sealant free, dry and residue free. Apply 1 thin coat of oil with a cloth, a roller, a brush or whatever type of applicator you prefer. It can take up to 24 hours to fully dry and be ready for traffic. To be applied in a two coats system with at least 12 hours break between the coats. Allow the decking to absorb whatever is needed and remove the excess. The product is not compatible with old and damaged wood deckings or wooden garden furniture that were sealed with some kind of glazing sealer. To be able to use the new Tover Oil4sun Decking Oil, you will need to remove the old sealer in full. If you are refreshing a decking or some type of garden furniture that was sealed with the new Tover Oil4sun Decking Oil the year before, just make sure that the wood is clean, dry & dirt free. Then apply one more coat of decking oil over the old sealer. Allow 12 to 24 hours to dry and then you can use the decking as usual.
