Unlike other types of floor oil from other brands, the new Osmo Polyx-Oil Clear Satin is a beautiful natural looking floor oil that does not glaze and does not alter the original look of the wood. The product allows the surface to ventilate naturally and further refreshments can be done without having to re-sand the whole area. It dries fast, it looks better than most other floor oils, its durability is well known and it covers much more than other similar products. Osmo has revolutionized the hardwax oil market in Ireland. So if you are after a natural looking finish that will enable you to maintain the natural look of the wood, then try the new Osmo Polyx-Oil Clear Satin.

Osmo Polyx-Oil Clear Satin | Where To Use It

The new Osmo Polyx-Oil Clear Satin is suitable for indoor use only. The product can be used on any type of real wood surface that is sealant free, dry and clean. It can be used to waterproof and stainproof wooden floors, stairs, banisters, handrails, wood panels and profiles, wood statues, kids toys, furniture and other wood surfaces. Osmo Polyx-Oil Clear Satin | How To Use It

If you are using the new Osmo Polyx-Oil Clear Satin to recoat a surface that was already sealed with this amazing product, then no sanding is required. Just deep clean the area and prepare for recoating. But if you will be using Osmo Polyx-Oil Clear Satin over another finish, even if it is another floor oil, the surface has to be sanded nicely up to 100 grit. Make sure that all the dust is extracted and the surface is ready for sealing. Use a small cloth to apply the oil around the edges or the narrow corners and use some kind of applicator to apply the oil on the larger surfaces. Remember to shake the oil tin well for about 30 seconds before use to make sure that the content is well mixed. Large floor areas can be sealed with a floor buffer. Estimate that 1L of the new Osmo Polyx-Oil Clear Satin will cover around 30 sq meters but it can vary from surface to surface. Apply a very thin layer of oil and remove all excess. Allow the surface to absorb whatever it needs to look wet and anything extra has to be removed. The surface should fully dry within 2-6 hours depending on humidity, temperature and the application system. A second coat can be applied after about 12 hours. No more than two coats is required.

Osmo Polyx-Oil Clear Satin | Recommendations

Do not apply the oil on wet or dirty surfaces. Whatever imperfections are visible before oiling will be more visible after the oiling is done. Do not use the oil on already sealed surfaces. Indoor use only. Do not over soak the wood to prevent long drying periods or not drying at all. Do not walk on a newly oiled surface. Remember to refresh your oiled floors every 6 months to prevent wear off damage. Use only “oiled” floor cleaners and as little water as possible. Do not scrub particular areas with abrasive pads.
