Chimiver Ecotraffic 2k Floor Lacquer | Where To Use It
The new Chimiver Ecotraffic 2k Floor Lacquer is a professional quality two pack water based floor lacquer highly recommended for sealing all types of hardwood floors, semi solid floors, furniture, doors, frames and other surfaces. The product is suitable for indoor use only. It can be used to seal and protect all kinds of intense traffic wooden floors in schools, pubs, restaurants, gyms, art galleries and also residential floors with high pet usage. The product does not glaze a lot and it makes the finish very hard to get scratched. A professional quality water based floor lacquer highly appreciated by the professional floor sanding and floor refinishing trade.
Chimiver Ecotraffic 2k Floor Lacquer | How To Use It
Before mixing up the hardener with the lacquer, make sure that the surface is as smooth as possible, sealant free, dry and ready for coating. The new Chimiver Ecotraffic 2k Floor Lacquer is compatible with all known oil based wood stains, water based wood stains, wood primers and sealers. If the wood surface is rough or in a bad state, sand it up until all imperfections are fully removed. Start with 40n grit sandpaper and finish with 100 grit sandpaper. Apply the primer or the wood stain and about 2 hours later prepare the lacquer for sealing

Mix up the lacquer with the hardener before using it. Only mix up what you are likely to use within 2 hours otherwise it will dry inside the bottle within 2 hours.

Use a small varnishing brush to apply the lacquer around the narrow edges and around all hard to reach areas and use a proper quality varnishing roller for the rest of the floor. Apply the lacquer while moving along with the fiber of the wood.

Allow it to dry for about 2 hours and then prepare for the second coat. Sanding with 180 to 320 grit sanding paper between the coats is highly recommended.

A third coat is possible but not necessary unless the user is dealing with high traffic commercial floors.

Do not varnish dirty or wet wood surfaces. Do not use the new Chimiver Ecotraffic 2k Floor Lacquer without mixing it with the hardener. Do not walk on the surface while wet. Do not apply the second coat unless the first coat is fully dry. Do not use the new Chimiver Ecotraffic 2k Floor Lacquer to seal outdoor floors. The estimated coverage area is estimated only. It can be much higher or much lower, depending on a number of factors. Store the product in a cool and dry area away from the direct sunlight
