The new Nordicare Finishing Oil is a beautiful looking wood oil that can be used to protect and refresh all kinds of wooden surfaces. It looks the best when applied on beech wood, rose wood and alder wood. The product can be used on a regular basis to waterproof and stain proof all kinds of wood surfaces or it can be used to refresh wooden surfaces that were already sealed with an oil. It really enhances the look of the wood and it maintains the natural look of the wood. All surface sealed with the new Nordicare Finishing Oil will look unsealed, will feel soft and liquids will not be able to penetrate.
Nordicare Finishing Oil | Where To Use It
While the new Nordicare Finishing Oil is compatible with all kinds of unsealed or oiled wooden surfaces, it will look the best when used on darker types of wood surfaces like beech wood, alder wood and cherry wood. The new Nordicare Finishing Oil is a food safe wood oil that can be used on all unsealed or already oiled surfaces like furniture, frames, doors, skirting, toys, statues, handles, etc. The product is suitable to be used on indoor wood surfaces only. A low cost but highly effective finishing oil that will really protect the wood and facilitate easy maintenance and refreshing.
Nordicare Finishing Oil | How To Use It
The new Nordicare Finishing Oil can be used to refresh already oiled surfaces or it can be used on its own as the main sealer. The product is ready to use and it does not require any dilution. This product has to be able to fully penetrate the wood so if there is a lacquer or some water based sealer, the surface will require sanding. If there are visible water marks or deep stains, the surface will have to be sanded before the new Nordicare Finishing Oil can be used on it.
Refreshing | Deep clean the surface with a good cleaner to remove as much dirt as possible and allow the surface to dry. Apply a thin coat of the new Nordicare Finishing Oil while making sure that the whole surface is touched. Allow direct contact for 15 minutes and then remove the excess oil with a clean cloth. One coat is enough when refreshing surfaces.
Oiling | Remove all pre-existing finishes, marks or stains before applying the new Nordicare Finishing Oil. The surface has to be finished with 120-150 grit sanding paper. Apply a thick coat of the new Nordicare Finishing Oil and do nothing for 15 minutes. About 15 minutes later remove all excess oil. Allow the surface to dry completely for 2-12 hours and then apply the second coat. Brand new or newly sanded surfaces will require at least 2 coats. A 3rd coat will do no harm.
Nordicare Finishing Oil | Recommendations
Refresh the newly sealed or refreshed surfaces as often as you can. All natural oils are likely to evaporate or dry over a period of time. By refreshing it regularly, you are guaranteed to have fully protected wood surfaces. Do not apply the new Nordicare Finishing Oil over lacquers or glazing sealers. Do not dilute the product and do not use it to seal outdoor furniture.
