Why Use The Incredible Prochem Stone Seal 5L

The new Prochem Stone Seal 5L is one of the most cost effective and most natural looking water based floor sealers available. The product will fully penetrate the stone surface and it will create a protective layer inside the stone while allowing natural ventilation. The new Prochem Stone Seal 5L is much more affordable than similar products, it dries faster and it does not affect the final look of the stone. It can cover up to 200 sq meters of stone per 5L of the product based on the porosity of the surface. It does not react with harsh chemicals and it is not affected by UV light. 

Where To Use It

This product is an impregnator that has to impregnate the stone and dry inside. To be able to do just that, the product can only be applied on surfaces that have a medium to high absorbency. It can be safely used to seal concrete floors and general concrete surfaces, limestone surfaces, travertine, some marble floors, terracotta, sandstone, bricks and others. It can be used for all kinds of indoor and outdoor applications. Most surfaces will be fully sealed after one coat of the new Prochem Stone Seal 5L, but two coats are possible. The product will not change the original look of the surface, it will not create an artificial glazing and it will not peel off. Its coverage area can dramatically vary from surface to surface.

How To Use The New Prochem Stone Seal 5L

The surface has to be sealant free, dry and residue free. If there are any pre-existing finishes, it should be stripped off with one of Prochem`s floor strippers or the surface should be grinded with sanding paper or diamond pads to remove any protective layer. The product has to penetrate the stone in full and dry out inside the stone.

1. Deep clean the entire surface to make sure that any ingrained residue, grease patches, oils, dust and other residues are fully removed before the sealer is applied.

2. Allow the entire surface to dry off and do not proceed to the sealing of the surface unless it looks 100% dry.

3. You can use a flat mopping system with a good quality microfiber flat mop head or a varnishing roller to apply it. Apply a thin coat of it making sure that the entire surface looks wet but not soaked in sealer. While being applied, the new Prochem Stone Seal 5L is likely to darken up the surface and create a wet look finish but it will fully dry invisible. 

4. Allow at least 1-2 hours of drying time between the coats. If the results are satisfactory after one coat, do not apply the second coat. If a second coat is required, apply it by using the same process and then do not walk on the surface for 2-3 hours

Our Recommendations

The new Prochem Stone Seal 5L is fully matt so there will be no sheen or gloss after it dries. The new Prochem Stone Seal 5L is an impregnator not a glazer. It cannot be used on already polished surfaces or surfaces with no absorbency. Do not soak the floor in sealer while applying the product. Do not walk on the surface while it is drying. Do not use bleach based or acidic products to maintain the floors afterwards. Make sure to have enough product to cover the entire area.
