Here are some extra points you should take note of when dealing with the Faber Oxidant:

• Before application, clean the area. The dirt and grime on the surface would just come in the way. Besides, the product is meant to remove stains, so getting rid of the grime will increase its effectiveness.
• In some instances, mechanical polishing will be needed, such as when there are complex and deep stains on the structure of natural stones- like the ones caused by rising damp. The polishing will result in an increase in the absorption rate of the surface, thus allowing the Faber Oxidant to penetrate deeper into it.
• Carrying out a spot test is always recommended, to ensure that the product is suitable for your type of surface.
• For those situations where the product will remain for longer on the surface, ensuring that a thick layer has been applied right at the onset will prevent it from drying out, which would require you to keep adding more product. You can additionally cover it with a plastic film or nylon sheet. For the small sections, taping the borders of the film or sheet will prevent it from being blown off. Once the recommended duration elapses, remove the sheet, and leave it exposed for at least half an hour. After this you can go ahead to remove it plus the residue, and clean the surface.
