Faber HidroFab AR Review
Floors are subjected to loads of attack on a daily basis. Proper care is needed to preserve their looks and structural integrity. After all, they were costly to install, and you want to be able to protect and enjoy your investment. This can be achieved through waxing. Take heavy traffic for instance. People walking about, plus the items being dragged on the floor cause abrasion, and scratches may also form. The end result is a drabby looking surface. Tile lifting is also a concern. When exposed to water and debris, which penetrates through the cracks between the tiles, they weaken the glue holding it to the underlying structure.
This makes the tiles become loose and start shaking. Then it’s just a matter of time before they get lifted from the surfaces. What of the decor? The state of the floor- which is one of the largest structures in the building, has a profound effect on everything else. You want to be comfortable in your own home- and even have a lustrous finish that impresses your guests the moment they walk through the front door. In business premises, you want to set a professional image that gives your customers confidence in your brand. Make this a reality by treating your installation with the Faber HidroFab AR.
Benefits Of The Faber HidroFab AR
Gives your surfaces an elegant satin finish
You get to enhance the beauty of your installation with the Faber HidroFab AR. This self-polishing treatment leaves your floors with a satin finish, while also touching up the original colouration of the material. You won’t have to worry about it yellowing over time. As such, with the Faber HidroFab AR, you boost the aesthetics of the interior space, impress guests coming over to your home, and giving our business premises that touch of class that sways customers to your side, giving them more confidence in your brand. After all, with business, image is key.
While the product itself is self-polishing, you may also choose to increase the shine further mechanically. For this, work with a polisher that has a white or lambswool pad. Note that first you should let the applied treatment cure. Give it a minimum of 3-4 hours before you bring out the polisher to work on the surface.
Enhances dirt resistance
The Faber HidroFab AR creates a protective seal on surfaces, preventing dirt and stains from adhering and stopping accidental spills from penetrating the floor. Its water and oil repellent properties reduce staining and cleaning effort. Treated floors can be cleaned with Neugel or AlgaFloor, and for maintaining shine, Faber MANU’ or diluted HidroFab AR mixed with water in a 1:5 ratio can be used.
Increased durability
The wax treatment increases the floor’s protection against the daily barrage of abuse it receives from foot traffic. This makes it suitable for both modern day busy homes, and commercial establishments where you want to retain the floor’s beauty and functionality amidst the heavy foot traffic.
Safe waxing
This is a versatile formulation, developed for indoor use. The Faber HidroFab AR is suitable for treating sandstone, travertine, terracotta, granite, marble, clinker, cementing, concrete, plus marble-cement and quartz-resin agglomerates, all through to parquet and natural wood. It can also be used on compact and non-absorbent surfaces such as ceramic tiles, micro-rough porcelain stoneware and quartz. In this case, remember to dilute the Faber HidroFab AR in water, using a ratio of 1:1.
Application is a breeze
With a roller or lambswool applicator, simply spread the Faber HidroFab AR onto the surface you’re treating. Apply a generous amount, and distribute it in a uniform layer covering the entire floor. Work in one direction. All that’s left is to wait for it to dry, which will take just 1-2 hours. There are those situations where a second coat will be needed, like when you’re working on really absorbent or textured floors. In this case, wait for 2-3 hours for the initial layer to cure before you add the second coat. In addition, it’s recommended that you work in a direction that is perpendicular to the first.
With regards to build up, there are two situations. First, when you notice build-up forming as you apply the product, you can redistribute it immediately around the affected area. That will help with ensuring you get an even application. However, if you notice build-ups on a section after you’ve already treated it and passed on to another section, leave it be for the moment. Let that layer cure, and you can create a more even finish as you follow through later with the polishing. The build-up will easily be removed by using a mechanical polisher to increase the shine of the surface. The floor will be ready to handle foot traffic after 4-6 hours from application.

Affordable packaging
The Faber HidroFab AR has been suitably priced, allowing you to get a quality product without stretching your budgetary limits. It’s available in 1L bottles, and the larger 5L and 10L cans. What’s more, the added protection to your flooring enables you to avoid damage from extensive wear that would have forced you to fork out loads of capital to have your installation repaired or replaced.
DOs And DON’Ts Of The Faber HidroFab AR
- DO use a water repellent when treating medium-high absorbency floors. This will enable there to be a proper bond between the product and the surface.
- DO let the first coat dry before adding a second one.
- DO perform a preliminary test on an unexposed area when you’re not sure if the product is suitable for your particular type of flooring.
- DON’T apply the Faber HidroFab AR on surfaces that are wet or damp.
