Faber ABR 600 Polishing Cream

Faber ABR 600 Polishing Cream

Looking for a fast and effecting polishing agent, which will reduce the amount of time and elbow grease that you spend on the process? One that is safe for natural stone, ceramics, or even porcelain stoneware, getting the task done without putting the structural integrity of the material at risk? Faber has provided the ABR 600 precisely for this.

Benefits Of The Faber ABR 600

  • Sets up the surface for quality polishing

Are you looking to polish uneven flooring? Does the surface have lippage, with the grout widths positioned at different levels? Perhaps it’s simply not feasible to use the heavy machinery that is typical of mechanical polishing processes, or you want to avoid using copious amounts of water that are required during such tasks. There are those cases where the area you intend to polish has barriers, like when furniture has already been set up after polishing or buffing the natural stone. The Faber ABR 600 comes in to ensure that these areas can still be worked on, replacing the intermediate grain sizes such as the 400-800 size diamond resin pad used for the mechanical polishing. In doing this, it gets the surface ready for the polishing that will follow with the chemical formulation suited for your particular installation.

  • Gets rid of scratches

You don’t want to end up with floors and worktops that are laden with scratches at the end of the polishing and renovation project. The Faber ABR 600 comes in to remove them, together with the scuff marks and other small blemishes on the surface for the natural stone installations that have been polished or buffed. For the case where brushing is carried out, you get to do away with the mechanical brushing, remove the scratches, and still give the surface a deep clean.

  • Applicable on both sides of the divide

While one is polishing a surface, another wants to reduce the shine. The Faber ABR 600 aids in both- all depending on the point at which it is integrated into the process. For instance, it can be used together with the K100 especially when there is extensive damage where the latter needs the extra boost to get the task done. This is like for those cases where you’re working on buffed areas, to restore the deep surface aggressions. When it comes to reducing the shine, using the Faber ABR 600 enables you to circumvent the need for aggressive acid-based formulations, or the arduous mechanical processes.

  • Effective honing process

There are those cases where the surface has been polished, but lacks a shine. The Faber ABR 600 comes in to give them a refined look. It’s an abrasive cream after all. You get to set a soft matt polished result, without the scratching that is associated with mechanical polishing.

  • Enhance dirt resistance

This is especially for when the Faber ABR 600 is used on textured or porcelain stoneware, or even ceramic flooring. Here, the formulation enhances the ability of the surface to ward off soiling, without really affecting the original shine. You can use it to soften the surfaces that are excessively rough, which in turn actually reduces how much dirt can be trapped in the material, making subsequent cleaning operations easier.

  • Simple application

Using the Faber ABR 600 is easy and straightforward. First, shake the bottle well before you go ahead. This is to ensure consistency within the cream. Scoop 23 spoons of it and apply it onto the section you’re working on. This will be enough to treat 2 m2 of surface. Add an equal amount of water to the cream. As a rule of the thumb, one spoon of Faber ABR 600 is used with 1 spoon of water. Note that the creamy state should be retained all through the process. As such, in case it begins to dry, simply add more water. Back to the application: use your manual rotary brush or single disc machine to spread the product evenly on the surface. Make continuous passes until you obtain the shine level that you desire. Usually, this is achieved in 15 – 25 passes. After you’re done, vacuum off the residue, or rinse the surface using plenty of water. The area will be ready to use immediately it dries.

Here are a few pointers to take note of that will make the work easier for you, and enhance the quality of the results:

  • Clean the surface before applying the Faber ABR 600. Also, ensure that it is dry before you start.
  • In case you’re working with a single disc machine, ensure that it’s got a rating of at least 1.5HP, and that you’ve set it to between 150 and 200 rpm.
  • Although it’s not compulsory, dividing up the area into small sections will make the task easier to handle- like polishing 2 m2 of surface at a time.
  • You can assess your progress as you polish the surface by pausing and mopping off a portion of the cream, on the section where you’ve made the passes.

In addition, should you be uncertain of the product’s compatibility with your particular type of surface, first carry out a spot test on a hidden area.

  • Suitable for diverse surfaces

The water-based Faber ABR 600 is used for both indoor and outdoor surface maintenance processes. It’s suitable for natural stone installations such as granite, marble, limestone, and travertine, agglomerates ranging from marble-cement, marble-resin, and quartz-resin, all through to porcelain stoneware, be it natural, polished, lapped or textured. Each kilogram of product gets to be used on 30 – 40 m2 of surface. This, in addition to its affordable price, allows you to incorporate it into your surface care program without putting a strain on your budget.

  • Easy on your wallet

Costs also factor into your building maintenance program. After all, you want quality solutions that will enable you to meet your surface care needs without having to break the bank. The intensive research and development processes of Faber have enabled products to be released that meet consumer needs at affordable costs. The same applies with the ABR 600. It comes in 0.25L bottles and the larger 5L cans, allowing you to go with the option that suits your particular needs. What’s more, by cutting down on the excessive resources like is witnessed with the mechanical processes, and speeding up the polishing, you get to make more savings.
