Where To Use It
A soft and gentle carpet cleaning shampoo that can be used for deep cleaning and carpet maintenance. The new Prochem Carpetclean XL 5L is usually used by the professional carpet cleaning trade when dealing with large commercial carpet cleaning projects. It can be used for deep cleaning all types of residential carpets, all types of commercial carpets, all types of mattresses, lightly coloured sofas and upholsteries. The product PH is about 9.5, that is high enough to break the dirt but not too high to discolour or damage carpets and fibres. It will work as well in conjunction with a residential carpet cleaning machine, a professional portable carpet cleaning machine or a truck mounted carpet cleaner.
How To Use It
Vacuum the carpet well to expose the fibre and to be able to see if the surface has deep and dark stains or is just full of dust. If the surface seems full of small spots, you should treat the entire surface with Prochem Trafficlean pre-spray to make sure that all those stains are emulsified and softened up.
- Dilute the new Prochem Carpetclean XL 5L in warm water. Add about 1 part shampoo and 330 parts warm water.
- Pre-spray the entire surface until the full carpet looks wet but not soaked. Allow direct contact for at least 5 minutes to make sure that the dirt is separated and prepared for extraction.
- Agitate the entire area with a rotary machine and a carpet cleaning bonnet to separate the carpet fibre and make sure that the product reaches deep inside the fibre of the carpet.
- Use the carpet cleaning machine’s wand to spray and extract the waste as you move along. After the entire area is covered, stop spraying and extract only. Try to extract as much water as possible. Go over a few times until the machine fails to lift any more liquid.

The dilution rate is informative only. The actual dilution rate can be decided after a quick assessment. Do not use the product undiluted. Do not use the new Prochem Carpetclean XL 5L to deep clean fibres without pre-testing first. While the product itself is low foam, some foam can be generated by the pre-spray. Badly affected carpets should be treated with specific stain removers.
