Prochem Proshine 5L | How To Use It
The surface has to be clean, residue free and dry. The amazing Prochem Proshine 5L can be used as the main sealer or it can be used as an overcoating sealer. Before polishing the entire surface please follow these steps:
- Old Floors | Strip off all the pre-existing sealers with one of Prochem`s floor strippers until the floor has no more patches of old sealers, waxes or dirt. Allow the surface to dry before commencing the polishing.
- Old Floors In Good Shape | If the sealer is still in good shape but it has become dull and tired over a prolonged period of time, then you do not need to fully remove the old sealer. Just deep clean the floor surface with one of Prochem`s heavy duty floor cleaners and allow it to dry.
- New Floors | If your newly fitted floors are too dull for your liking, there is no problem at all. Deep clean the entire surface with a proper heavy duty floor cleaner to remove as much dirt and residue from the surface. Then allow it to dry.
The Polishing | Use a flat mopping system like the amazing Concept Microfiber Floor Cleaning Kit or some special applicator. Pour a bit of floor polish on to the floor, soak the floor pad in it, then start polishing the surface while moving back in the door direction. The entire surface has to look equally wet but not soaked. Use the flat mop pretty much as you do when you wash the floor. The first coat will dry within 2 hours (depending on ventilation). Up to max 3 coats is recommended.
1 coat | If you are refreshing dull polished floors
2 coats | If you are polishing new or newish floors
3 coats | If you are dealing with old and porous floors
Prochem Proshine 5L | Our Recommendations
Be aware that the new Prochem Proshine 5L is a very glossy floor polish. Do not apply more than 3 coats. Do not apply more coats unless the first coat is fully dry. Do not walk on the drying floor. Do not soak the floor in polish. Always walk back as you polish the floor to avoid getting stuck in a corner with no way out. Open all the windows and create as much ventilation as possible. Do not wash your newly polished floors with acidic, high alkaline or bleach based floor cleaners.
Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions and safety guidelines before use. Store the product in a cool, dry place, out of reach of children.
