Faber Cristalfab White Pad | Safety Information
Designed for professional use. Suitable personal protective equipment should be used. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions and safety guidelines. Store in a safe place out of reach of children.
Crystallizing Surfaces With The Faber CristalFab White Pad
Crystallization is carried out to provide a high gloss finish. This can be at the tail end of the floor polishing process, or during the regular maintenance of the high traffic areas that require frequent attention- like hallways and office spaces, or even the hotel reception. The process relies on chemical reaction with the surface of the stone being treated, steel wool, and specialised compounds that cause the shine to be a part of the floor itself. The resultant effect is hard to replicate using conventional polishing powders or when one just relies on diamond grinding. The Faber CristalFab White Pad has been designed for such operations.
Highly Effective Crystallization Cream
This next-generation formulation has been developed to restore the shine to your surfaces, from marble and granite, to the polished lime-based installations that have had their appeal worn down by the heavy foot traffic that they handle. It’s not like the conventional products out there. For starters, a common complaint that floor maintenance crews have is oxidation, like when they are using steel wool pads as they deal with the surfaces that are not perfectly dry, such as polishing them with machines that have been fitted with the white pad.
This is typically at the latter stages of the floor restoration project, where the final outcome will be used to assess the success or failure of the operation. The Faber CristalFab White Pad has been developed to prevent oxidation from occurring. This means that there won’t be rust marks forming on the polished surface, or those grey areas that ruin the quality of the results.
The gloss level also factors in. In fact, it’s the core mandate of the crystallization process, where you want to have a shiny surface that enhances the appeal of the interior space. The Faber CristalFab White Pad enables you to restore that deep shine, bringing back the glamour to your installation. It can be used on new installations or even when you simply want to reverse the effects of foot traffic that dulled the surface. Speaking of people walking about, this formulation actually enhances the anti-slip properties of the floor. The enhanced grip in dry conditions ensures that you get to enjoy the shiny floor while cutting down the risk of slip and fall accidents.
The result obtained when treating surfaces with the Faber CristalFab White Pad is long lasting too. Yellowing, greying or similar effects that are a concern with competing products will not occur here. What’s more, the routine maintenance can be carried out with the same product to maintain the shine, and you won’t need to keep having to do a complete overhaul. In fact, using the Faber CristalFab White Pad regularly helps in preserving the structural integrity of the installation.
This enables it to prevent deep damage. Add to this aspects such as the increased surface resistance to scratches, and in effect you get to reduce the frequency with which the floor restoration operations will be required. This is beneficial to your wallet, by saving on the costs of building maintenance in the long run.
Working With The Faber CristalFab White Pad
The application process is straightforward. Start by gathering the supplies needed. Equipment that is suitable for the process largely depends on the size of the area that you’re working on, and the presence- or lack thereof, of obstacles. Tools like manual rotary brushes can be used. The most popular for treating the floors is the single disc machine. Here, use a machine that has been rated at a minimum 1.5HP. Units like the Warrior Single Disc Machine, from Faber, have been optimised for the task. It has a 2.2HP rating.
Then there is the Faber CristalFab White Pad itself. It’s ideally applied in a creamy state, so you should first shake it in its container. If you’re working with a single disc machine and similar floor polishing units, the rotary action of the prices will bring out the desired consistency, which means that the product can be applied even when it’s dense.
Prepare the treatment area by thoroughly cleaning the floor and allowing it to dry, ensuring that any adhesives from new installations have fully cured. The floor temperature should be maintained between 5°C and 40°C, as the Faber CristalFab White Pad should not be used on surfaces exceeding this temperature range for effective results.
Handle small sections, such as 1m² of floor at a time, for effective and uniform application. Use 2/3 spoonfuls of Faber CristalFab White Pad, set your single disc machine to 150-200 rpm, and work in concentric movements. Apply the dry buffing technique, then sweep or vacuum off any steel wool remnants, or use a damp or dry cloth for small areas.
