Bona White Primer Where To Use It
You need to make sure that the wood surface is sealant free or fully sanded until all the old sealers are fully removed. The new Bona White Floor Primer has to penetrate the wood in full to be able to do its magic. It can be safely used to prime and enhance the look of all types of wooden floors, wood worktops, wood furniture, wood doors, wood frames, wood toys and wood statues. The product is suitable for indoor and outdoor use as well but an outdoor sealer has to be used to seal outdoor surfaces. Safe to use on all vertical and horizontal surfaces.
Bona White Primer How To Use It
Even if the wooden floor is brand new and never sealed before, the surface should still be lightly sanded with some fine grit sanding paper. Older types of wooden surfaces should be going through a full scale sanding operation from 40 grit sanding paper up to 120 grit sanding paper. The product is ready to use and it does not require dilution.
- Vacuum the surface to make sure that even the finest grain of dust is extracted before the surface gets sealed.
- Apply one even coat of Bona White Floor Primer all over the surface making sure not to miss any patches. Allow it to dry for 1-2 hours and then do a second coat of white primer if the level of white is not satisfactory. A third coat is also possible if the user is looking for a pure white finish.
- Seal the surface with a matt floor lacquer like Bona Traffic HD Raw or Chimiver Ecostar 2K Natural. Two coats of water based floor lacquer is more than enough to provide maximum protection.

Do not dilute the product even if some other shops tell you that it can be done, it can’t. Do not apply the primer on wet or poorly sanded wooden surfaces. Do not apply the product over pre-existing sealers. Wait for the first coat to dry before the second coat is done. Do not walk on the surface while it is drying.
Open all the windows and doors to create as much ventilation as possible to speed up the drying times.
