Faber Gres Protector | Why Use It
There are very few good sealers for ceramic and porcelain surfaces. The ones that are available are either too glossy or not capable of penetrating the surface. But the new Faber Gres Protector does not have any of these issues. A professional quality solvent based sealer compatible with all ceramic tiles & all matt finished porcelain surfaces. The product will penetrate the tile fully and it will create a barrier between the traffic and the tile. The surface that gets treated with the amazing Faber Gres Protector will have reduced absorbency, it will prevent dark stains from penetrating the surface of the tile and it makes daily cleaning much easier. A professional quality sealer for all commercial and residential porcelain & ceramic tiles.
Faber Gres Protector | How To Use It
Making sure that the surface is spotless and dry is the first step. Always pre-test for compatibility. Do a sample test somewhere in a corner. Apply the product with a flat mopping system or some kind of sealer applicator. Apply the product generously but in an even coat. Allow direct contact with the surface for about 10 minutes then proceed to remove the excess product with a dry cloth or pad. Take your time and try to remove as much excess sealer as you can before the product is fully dry. The surface should be fully dry within 1-2 hours. More porous surfaces will require a second coat. Apply the second coat 2-3 hours later. Same process applies when sealing indoor and outdoor surfaces. Do not mix the product with any other sealers from Faber or other brands. The recommended coverage area is 10-15 sq meters per 1L but in reality the coverage area goes over 20 sq meters per 1L.
Faber Gres Protector | Where To Use It
This sealer was designed to seal and protect ceramic floors and some porcelain floors. It can also be used to seal other types of surfaces like concrete tiles, terracotta, some natural stone floors, etc. When used for sealing outdoor surfaces you should make sure that it has not rained at least 48 hours before the sealing process. The product should be used in 1 coat only but in the case of more absorbent surfaces a second coat might be needed. This product will not affect the original colour of the floor. When applied over dark coloured tiles it might create a slightly richer color. Suitable for residential and professional use.

Wear protective equipment and always remember that you are dealing with a solvent based protector. Work in areas with good ventilation and clean all your tools after you are done with the product. Never apply the product to a large area without doing a pre-test. Maintain the surface with Faber cleaners and maintainers.
