Even if the substrate does not require any special preparation, it has to be level and it has to be residue free. Vacuum the floor well to remove all dust particles and all fine residue. Work in small areas to avoid having to walk on the newly installed floors. Always work from the wall to the exit area (all the professionals are well aware of this but some domestic installers might trap themself in a corner with no way of getting out without having to walk on the floor).
