Surfaces take different kinds of abuse. Messes on countertops during food preparation, spills that get to floors and form stains, friction effects as people walk up and about the premises, resulting in the gradual wearing down of the surface – it all has an effect on the affected installation. That shiny surface will inevitably age over time, losing its lustre. However, with the proper care and maintenance, you can be able to keep it in optimal condition. This entails the routine cleaning, right to the total overhaul that is required when the old finishes need to be removed, and a fresh new one applied. Given that wax finishes are formulated to be durable, an even more powerful agent is needed to be able to break down the existing layers on the surface. For this, turn to the Faber Wax Remover.

Powerful Wax Stripping Action

That old and stubborn wax that is on your surfaces can be easily got rid of with the Faber Wax Remover. This also applies to the organic dirt and greasy stains riddling the installation. The alkaline based formulation is effective for the removal of the grime that is set deeply in the material, for natural stone materials like marble and limestone, agglomerates such as marble-cement and marble-resin installations, all through to ceramics, quartzite surfaces, and porcelain tiles. The Faber Wax Remover also swoops in to salvage the situation when conventional cleaning agents are unable to remove stubborn greasy residues from the affected surfaces. The chemical action of this product ensures that those troublesome sections are firmly dealt with, bringing back the clean look and feel to the space.

The Faber Wax Remover is also used when dealing with the bio residues, such as the content left behind by mould and algae growths on the surface. Such kinds of residue are particularly difficult to deal with when using conventional detergents. With this alkaline-based treatment, you get to restore the charm and appeal to the surface in these situations that are normally difficult for the conventional cleaning products.

The quality standards are held constant with the Faber Wax Remover under review here, to ensure you get value for your building care and maintenance budget.

Application Process

Working with this formulation is a quick process. The first this washing the surface to clear away the loose dirt and debris – these contents can be simply swept or vacuumed off. Wait for the surface to dry completely then apply the Faber Wax Remover. It needs to be diluted for use, so mix it with clean water, pouring 1 part of the wax stripper into 4 parts of water. Proceed to work this solution over the surface, using tools like cloths, a mop, or a single disc machine, depending on what you find convenient for your particular situation. Give the product 5-10 minutes to act on the substances on the surface, then clear all the contents, and thoroughly rinse the floor. If there is any residue that has remained, you can repeat the process, using less dilution. Normal traffic can then be allowed back onto the area.

To get optimal results:

The surface being treated should not be overly heated. Its temperature should range between 5 and 40°C.

During the 5-10 minutes period after application where you’re waiting for the product to chemically break down the grime, wax and other residues from the surface, you can continue agitating it with the cleaning tool you’re using. This compilation of mechanical and chemical action will further enhance the effectiveness of the cleaning operations.

You can also use the Faber Wax Remover together with the Solvent Stripper for even more deep cleaning. This process is called “double wax stripping”. Here are the steps to follow for this.

  1. Sweep or vacuum away the coarse dirt and debris.

  2. Apply the undiluted Solvent Stripper. For this, simply pour it onto the target surface and use the desired equipment to work it onto the areas.

  3. Wait for 5 – 10 minutes.

  4. Pour the Faber Wax Remover onto the surface using the process described above.

  5. With the chosen cleaning tool, continue working the wax stripper onto the area, then clear away the residues and rinse the surface.

Just like when using the Faber Wax Remover alone, the surface should be completely dry before application. Also, for cases where you’re working on recently laid tiles or grouted surfaces, let the adhesive or grout to cure before cleaning the installation with these formulations.

Another popular application of the Faber Wax Remover is getting rid of cement residues, especially when they are on acid-sensitive materials. This makes it an asset during the post-installation cleanup jobs on materials like marble where you want a powerful cleaning agent that will remain gentle on these sensitive installations. Note that this wax stripper should never be mixed with any other chemicals unless it has been expressly stated so, as is the case of the double wax stripping with the Faber Solvent Stripper.
