How To Use It To Maximise Its Potential
The new Prochem Double Clean is a highly concentrated carpet cleaning powder that requires dilution before use. The final dilution rate can vary from job to job and surface to surface. The manufacturer’s recommended dilution is 1 to 500 but this is informative only and the contractors can decide their own dilution based on the condition of the surface. While the new Prochem Double Clean is highly effective in most cases, if you are dealing with heavily soiled carpets or surfaces, a stronger pre-spray should be used to make sure that the stains are being broken down better and faster.
- Dilute the product in warm water outside the carpet cleaning machine solution tank. Use warm water to make sure that the product dissolves better and faster. After the product has dissolved in full, add it to the machine’s solution tank.
- Pre-spray the entire surface with a fine mist of the product and allow it to react for about 5-10 minutes (depending on the condition of the surface).
- Give the surface a quick scrub to agitate the dirt and break down as much residue as possible. You can use a carpet bonnet, a soft carpet brush, a small upholstery brush or a sponge.
- Use the carpet cleaning machine wand or the upholstery wand to spray and extract the cleaning solution. Spray, extract, spray and extract again. After the entire area is covered, stop spraying and extract only until no more water comes out.
