Treating Surfaces With The Faber Liquid Wax 1L
Natural stones go anywhere- from tabletops and fireplace mantles, to walls, countertops and flooring. Marble, granite, limestone, slate, quartzite- there are numerous materials to choose from. The natural processes of formation result in unique patterns and colourations, and no two stone tiles are ever exactly the same. As such, you get to have an installation that meets your personal taste. The durability of these installations, coupled with the aesthetic appeal, make them highly sought after.
To keep them in an optimal condition, routine maintenance measures need to be carried out, ranging from the cleaning to get rid of the dirt and grime, aspects like applying sealants, to the polishing itself. With regards to the polishing, this comes with a wide array of benefits. For starters, the polished surfaces have a higher density compared to the unpolished ones. This is because, during the polishing process, the compression strength and also the hardness of the surface are increased, making it more resistant to the impact of falling objects, plus abrasion such as that caused by everyday traffic.
This also means that the structure becomes less susceptible to cracks, and chipping, while simultaneously maintaining that fresh and shiny look. Moreover, the surface is more repellent to microbes and pests- that way you won’t have to worry about infestations cropping up in your home or workplace. In fact, this is one of the reasons why polishing natural stones is highly recommended, from household to hospitals. Over time, the surface can begin to dull, as a result of the barrage of abuse it receives on a daily basis. However, this does not mean that you have to redo the entire flooring from scratch. Simply restore the shine with the Faber Liquid Wax 1L.
Beautifies and Protects
With the Faber Liquid Wax 1L, you get to bring out the tone and colouration on the natural stone surface. That natural look and feel is enhanced, and the interaction of the polished surface with light greatly boosts the aesthetic appeal. The role of this solvent-based formulation is to increase the surface shine, which makes attributes like the veining of the marble, granite and other natural stones more prominent. From homes to business premises, it gets the task done without much hustle on your part, seeing that the application process is easy. In fact, it’s suitable for anything from the horizontal installations to irregular surfaces such as statues and furnishings made of the natural stone.
The product can be used on indoor and outdoor areas, on surfaces ranging from limestone, granite, marble, marble-cement agglomerate, quartzite, cotto, and terracotta, to clinker, travertine, and cementina. You also won’t have to dread issues like yellowing. Whether you’re a homeowner looking to enhance your interior décor, business owner in the process of renovating your workplace to make it more appealing to the customers coming over and setting a relaxing environment for your employees to work in, or a sculptor with a statue that you’re working on to restore its charm, the Faber Liquid Wax 1L will be up to the task.
This unit enhances the material’s beauty while providing protection against stains from food and drink spills through the application of Faber Liquid Wax 1L, which is oil- and water-repellent. This prevents liquids from penetrating the surface, allowing for easy cleaning and reducing maintenance costs. Additionally, Faber Liquid Wax is affordable and covers 15 to 25m²/L, ensuring optimal product usage.
Easy to work with
The application process itself is straightforward. Simply use a cloth, brush or a lambswool applicator to spread out the product, then work it into the surface using a polishing machine. Popular equipment used includes orbital polishers and arm-polishing machines. Your tool of choice depends on the type of area that you’re working on, and what you find to be more convenient for you.
Before the waxing, ensure that you have thoroughly cleaned the surface, as the dirt and grime will ruin the quality of the results. After all, you don’t want to trap the particles under the wax. Measures like warming up the surface will also boost the penetration of the wax into the material. The treated area will have completely dried and become ready to use within 5 to 10 hours after application. For those looking to dewax the surface- perhaps during maintenance and renovation works, it’s recommended that you use formulations like DEC 21 or DECERA P, both from Faber, for the task.
With a highly skilled workforce, partnerships and experience developed over the 30 years of the company’s existence, the know-how when dealing with materials ranging from ceramics, to cotto and natural stone, Faber is a brand that can be trusted to develop products that meet the consumer’s needs. In fact, it is as a result of the high quality of their formulations, and their reliability in providing the expected results, that the company now serves markets all around the world, and has won numerous awards.
